The Palms Guest House Hartswater
We have three delightful units (self-catering OR bed & breakfast) where the tired traveller can stay. Our guest house is situated in the centre of the small Northern Cape town HARTSWATER, 120 km North of Kimberley. The town is about 30 km from the World Heritage Site where the Taung Skull was found. There is also a lovely waterfall and the rare Thomeng Stalaghtites to see in the Taung area.Hartswater is an agricultural town serving the northern section of the Vaalharts Irrigation Scheme in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The town was laid out in 1948.There is a monument built in the shape of a miniature church dedicated to the women of Vaalharts for their contribution towards building and developing the Vaalharts irrigation scheme located in the town of Hartwater. The town has its own wine cellar and also a newly built olive processing business. Hartswater is centrally located to Jan Kempdorp, Pampierstad, Ganspan, Taung and Christiana.The name of The Palms Guest House refer to the 7 different types of palm trees that grow in the lush gardens.We have accommodation available for any taste and budget!Sight-seeing to the Buxton Blue Pool, waterfall, Taung Skull Site and Thomeng stalaghtites can be arranged.-Two bedrooms , sleeps 4 persons (1 double bed, 2 single beds),--Air conditioning,-Bathroom ( bath & shower),-Swimming pool,-Braai facility,-Kitchen (stove, microwave & refrigerator),-Television with M-Net,-Extra single bed on request.
