The Zulu people named it Ukhahlamba and the Dutch Voortrekkers The Dragon Mountain. The Drakensberg Mountains, with their awe-inspiring basalt cliffs, snowcapped in winter, tower over riverine bush, lush yellowwood forests and cascading waterfalls, form a massive barrier separating KwaZulu-Natal from the Kingdom of Lesotho. The only road access to the Drakensberg in KZN is via Sani Pass, which at the top, boasts the highest pub in Africa, 3 000 metres above sea level.Oak Tree Lodge...These rooms are serviced daily.This double story guesthouse has 6 en-suite bedrooms with temperature control facilities in each bedroom (either air-con or floor heating). Here you will find a space to sit and enjoy a good book, surf the internet on your wifi device or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.Breakfasts and dinners are served on a la carte menu in our restaurant that overlooks the trout dam and waterfall. Beautiful setting for a sundowner.Otters Den...Self-catering thatch house.This unit is serviced before arrival and after departureThis majestic thatch house has 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. A large entertaining covered patio with braai facilities. Underfloor heating. There is a TV in this unit but please bring your own DSTV. The house is self-catering so please provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk.Fishing Cabins....Self-catering cabin or B&B.These units are service before arrival and after departure.We have 3 little fishing cabins that each sleep 2 adults and perhaps a small child. The cabins are equipped with fireplace, bath and kitchenette with cutlery, crockery and cooking and braai facilities. Please provide your own firewood, firelighters, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. There are no TV?
