ADDO GATEWAY LODGE (Guest House) is a three star rated upmarket Bed and Breakfast accommodation establishment with a self-catering option and is situated in Cannonville, a safe and tranquil village on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River, only 35km East of Port Elizabeth, Nelson Mandela Bay, on the N2 in the Greater Addo area.Never have the Elephants of the Addo Elephant National Park been so close to the Addo Gateway Lodge. Since the extension of the park in 2010 and the opening of the Addo South Gate near Colchester on the National Freeway N2 , where the Guesthouse is located herds of Elephants have migrated to the Southern part of the Park.The lodge has a beautiful view of the dunes and river across the road. This beautiful destination is well placed to all major Eastern Cape Game Reserves and is only 4km away from the NEW SOUTH ENTRANCE to the Addo Elephant National Park, CAMP MATYHOLWENI. Elephants, Lions, Antelope, Zebra and many more animals now have complete access to the NEW SOUTHERN SECTION of the park.Apart from our 3 bedroom lodge, we also offer a 2 bedroom cottage and is now also APD APPROVED, having a full wheelchair accessible double room for the physically disabled.Our upmarket Bed and Breakfast accommodation establishment with a self-catering option, is set in a beautiful garden and sleeps 10 - 14 guests. All rooms have their own private entrance, fans, heaters, TV, coffee & tea facilities, use of fully equipped kitchen (for self-catering guests and/or lunch or dinner preparing), lounge, dining room with indoor braai/lapa, communual TV plus DSTV connection (bring your own decoder), entertainment system & games, music center, Videos and DVDs to hire. All rooms exit on to new extended deck over new paved parking area with view of the Sundays River and majestic dunes across the road.
