Welcome to Woolworths.Woolworths – a passionately South African retailer dedicated to bringing you quality, style and value for the past 80 years. At Woolworths we take our business values seriously. They aren’t just words in an annual report; they’re the foundation of our business. They give us direction and guide our behaviour, actions and choices. In fact, our values are so important to us that we’re measured not only on our performance, but also by how well we live up to them.QUALITY AND STYLE - DELIVER THE BEST -It means giving 100%, 100% of the time. Whether it’s making sure that a supplier is delivering to the standards we set or preparing a report, it all boils down to one thing: there’s no compromising on quality, because ‘good enough’ just isn’t good enough.VALUE - A SIMPLE AND FAIR DEAL -Offering real value goes beyond offering our customers quality at a good price: it also means offering value to each other, from sharing our knowledge with colleagues and suppliers to being able to evaluate how the decisions we make affect the business.SERVICE - WE ALWAYS THINK CUSTOMER -At Woolies, we know that we have to go that bit further to really make a difference. Putting the customer first is what service is all about. Whether your customer is a shopper in our stores or the store manager who needs a vital delivery, service is about understanding others’ needs, being willing to do more than is expected, and being a good ambassador for the Woolies brand. As one of South Africa’s top retailers, we’re known for our wide choice of high quality clothing, food, homeware and beauty products and offering real value for money. Unprofessional staff
Went to Woolworths food Campus Square earlier today, asked a guy who was wearing a trainee coat to please contact their nearest Woolworths store for me to ask whether they have the Reduced oil Mayonnaise that is on promotion so that I can buy mayonnaise to last me the next million years that I am alive since their normal price has increased by R5 anyway, the "trainee" called someone else to come make the call for me, no problem the guy makes the call for me but as soon as I leave his sight, he gossips about me with the worker behind that section where they keep pies, puffs and the likes I couldn't hear him properly but they both found whatever opinion they have about me amusing as they were laughing about it and he went on to laugh on some "re sepela re bona" I couldn't get the guy's name but I think the lady is Sarah and she asked him if she could chit chat with Maki from the Rand Park (I think) Woolworths on the phone and he passed her the phone. And at that time my chat is like most Gauteng employees I've come across they are poverty-stricken blacks (like me) and hence the lack of civilization but what separates me from them is that; one, obviously they didn't study hard at school and even if they did, they still did not acquire employable skills and certainly Woolworths has some underqualified staff here, and two, they haven't travelled to more civilized cities so they obviously haven't experienced first class customer-service. Another reason could be God-forbid the owner/s of these Franchises aren't as good to enforce the important things in providing the best customer-service. Poor Joburg!
