Welcome to Cartridge Depot.Founded in 1997, by Ivan & Irma Barkley, Cartridge Depot™ (then ENVIRO-CARTRIDGE) soon became an established service provider, in the Pretoria and Centurion area. The first business model consisted out of collecting the empty cartridge from the customer’s premises, remanufacturing it, and then delivering the same printer cartridge to the customer. The original business model proofed to be too time consuming, and a new model was adopted in 2000 where printer cartridges are processed and kept in stock, and delivered as they are ordered by our customers. Explosive growth soon followed, and the ECLIPSE™ brand of printer cartridges established itself as a reliable and affordable alternative to expensive OEM printer cartridges. The idea to establish Cartridge Depot™ as a franchise was born in May 2004, and the concept was launched at the 2005 International Franchise Expo, affording the franchisee to focus on selling a great product without the hassle of refilling cartridges at the back of a store.
