Piza E Vino Irene
Following on the success of Melrose Arch, Rosebank and Waterkloof – Piza é Vino has now added a forth string to its bow with its latest store at Irene Village Mall. Here you will find the same bright funky décor which has become a draw-card for the Piza é Vino stores. Add to that great service, and a winning menu, and you have all the right ingredients for pleasing hungry diners! The outside shady patio provides a welcome relief for alfresco dining during the hot Highveld summer, but if you prefer to sit inside you can choose from the intimate downstairs seating area, or the more spacious first floor complete with large bar for enjoying a pre dinner drink.
The menu is constantly evolving with new additions to tempt the palate. Recently added to the starter menu is the beef carpaccio, and the popular spicy meatballs. The salad section now includes the Trout in Cradle, and Oxtail Ragout is another new addition worth mentioning. Renowned for their exceptional pizzas, a couple of recommendations are the Melrose Arch – chicken, avo, feta, cherry tomatoes and coriander, and the James Brown – chicken with bbq sauce, bacon, guacamole, cheddar cheese and red onions.
