Platia Restaurant
Traditional Greek Taverna, Platia recently opened in the newly revamped Emporers Palace Emporium. Here guests can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine of the highest quality with both the service and nightly entertainment not shying away to meet these standards. Brothers Mike and Christo Malamas, have truly created a Greek eatery in a true Mediterranean island style. With high ceilings featuring one of a kind reed, the space is cool and airy, whilst at the back of the restaurant there are large floor to ceiling windows to allow plenty of natural light as well as a pleasant outlook. Bold lanterns compliment the reed ceiling and are also reminiscent of the Greek Isles.Tastefully decorated to reflect the sparkling Mediterranean in shades of blue, with scenes of the Greek Islands and colourfull mosaics covering the walls, guests are swept away to warm summer days on the platia (a Greek town square) bringing the Greek islands to Emperors Palace. Table settings with relaxed blue and white linen complete the stylish and relaxing interior. The substantial menu offers all that is best from the warm islands of the Mediterranean, with plenty of specialities to delight the palate. Some of the delectable dishes Platia has to offer include various Meze Platters ranging from Calamari, Souvlaki to Haloumi cheese. Mains start from traditional dishes such as the Mousaka with layers of aubergine, mince & potatoes baked & topped with their b??chamel sauce. Then there is the old favourites like the Platia rump topped with crispy bacon avo and feta, and of course the ever popular Kelftiko with lamb that falls off the bone. Enjoy the decadent Pistachio Halva home made ice cream to end of your meal in this remarkable restaurant.
