Lynette Finlay
Chief Executive Officer
- Lynette is the CEO of the company and was one of the founding members of Emerging African Property Holdings in 2006. She is a Non-Executive Director of Grit Property Group, a London and Mauritius listed property company investing in assets outside of South Africa. She has previously held the following positions: - Non-executive director of Growthpoint. During her 11-year tenure she was Chairman of the Property and Investment Committee, Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Social Ethics and Transformation Committee.
- - CEO of Finlay and Associates, a property management company for 32 years, which inter alia managed a commercial portfolio in excess of R7bn. The company developed the Hyatt Hotel in Johannesburg and several office blocks, industrial properties and shopping centres both in urban and rural communities. - Director of Finlay Mall Leasing – specialist retail leasing company specialising in rural shopping centres. - CEO of Finlay Events – an event management company specialising in events aimed at promoting and raising funds for non-profit organisations.
- - The first women president of SAPOA, the recognised body representing the real estate commercial and industrial property industry. - One of the founding members of the Women’s Property Network. - Board Member of the Property Services SETA. - Chairman of the Rosebank Management District. - Executive Vice Chair in drafting the Property Charter
- - Co-founder of Nurturing Orphans of Aids for Humanity which cared for over 100 000 orphaned children. Lynette received the Inyathelo award for women in philanthropy, a merit award for most influential women in business and Government and was the first recipient of the “5 Star Women Award” for women in the commercial property industry.

Kgaogelo Mamabolo
Chairman
- Kgaogelo Mamabolo has over 20 years’ experience in the Property industry. She is currently Chairperson of AIM and non-executive Director of Triviron Project Management (Pty) Ltd. She sits on the Investment committee of Summit Africa’s Social Infrastructure Fund. She is currently growing her interest in property investments and developments in the Affordable Housing market.
- Kgaogelo was previously Asset Manager for the STANLIB Africa direct property development fund and the Liberty Group property portfolio. Her asset management experience began as head of unlisted properties at Liberty Properties focusing on the asset management of mainly super regional and regional shopping centres with significant redevelopment projects including Sandton City, Eastgate, Midlands Mall and Nelson Mandela Square.
- Her career in the property industry began in research and property economics atViruly Consulting and at the Investment Property Databank (SA). She offers strategic property advice and is past Advisory Board member of the University of Cape Town’s Urban Real Estate Research Unit.
- Kgaogelo has served in various industry organisations: being past President of SAIBPP and currently a member of the Policy and Advocacy Committee; ex board member of South African Council of Shopping Centres and chair of the Research committee; Property Sector Charter Council member and research committee member. She is an ex-member of several SAPOA committees and has been a sessional lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand.
Nonkululeko Nyembezi
Non-Executive Director
- Nonkululeko Nyembezi is the Chairman of Standard Bank Group, the largest financial institution by assets in South Africa. Aseasoned business leader, she has a wealth of technical and strategic insight with a background in engineering and extensiveexperience spanning mining, steel, financial services and technology in South African and global organisations.
- She has served at C-suite executive level at multinational organisations such as ArcelorMittal Group – where she was CEO of the South African subsidiary. She also served as CEO of Ichor Coal N.V., an international coal mining company and prior to that, Vodacom Group where she headed strategy and M&A. She started her career as an engineer at IBM’s research labs in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Nonkululeko’s governance roles include non-executive director positions on the boards of Anglo American plc and Macsteel ServiceCentres, which she chairs having previously served as chairman of Alexander Forbes.
- She has a B.Sc. Honours degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology and a masters degree in the same discipline from California Institute of Technology. She also has an MBA from the Open University (UK).

Non-Executive Director
Iain is CEO of Enigma Group. He specialises in creating empowered, confident teams through expert, enthusiastic mentoring and his ability to connect people and develop networks. He has a proven track record in examining investment opportunities and assessing their likely returns. His eighteen years in the banking industry has allowed him to marry the mindset of risk and banking with the entrepreneurship of commercial & industrial property.
